Chappel FarmsSloane goes to a daycare two days a week. We started sending her there to ensure that she got some quality time with children her own age. And, of course, to give Marg a bit of a break from the trials of stay at home momhood. Sloane's daycare is Discovery Childcare, located in Barrie. It's a fine establishment. The daycare arranged a pre-Halloween day trip to a Barrie area farm attraction - Chappel Farms. This is a quasi-working farm with activities for children. Marg decided to go and take Parker as well - a day for the kids! The day started with Sloane and Parker having their very first ride in a school bus. Boy, was Sloane excited. All those renditions of "Wheels on the Bus" finally given meaning and context. The day included a hayride and each child got to pick their own pumpkin. Sloane and Parker each got one. There was also a petting zoo. Sloane was less timid than Parker, but wow - love those goats!
